Housey exists because buying a home involves comparing a lot of places with a few other people, and no part of that is helped by the tools everybody currently uses for it.
Why it exists
Every listing portal is built to show you one property at a time and hand you off to an agent. None of them help with the actual work of a house hunt, which is holding twenty places in your head at once while three other people weigh in. That work ends up in group chats and screenshots because there is nowhere better for it to go.
What it is
A shared board for a home search. You save places to it, compare them, note what you thought, plan which ones to visit, and share the whole thing with your partner and your realtor.
What it is not
Housey is not a listing portal and does not have its own MLS feed. It does not show you homes for sale, and it will not tell you what a property is worth. It holds the places you found elsewhere and helps you choose between them.
Where it works
The focus is Toronto and the wider GTA, because that is the market it was built in and the one whose portals the extension supports. Nothing stops a board holding a listing from anywhere.
Where it is up to
Housey is small and early, and worth saying so rather than dressing up. It is free to use, actively worked on, and shaped considerably by what people ask for. If something is missing or broken, telling us is the fastest way to change it.
